Radici wines get Identità Golose
Milan – On Monday the 3rd February 2009 Propapilla association presented the winner wines of Radici contest, the festival of native wines at the “Sala Rosa of Centro Congressi Fiera Milano”. The Association kept the promise to display the 30 winner wines of the past edition within the most known cookery congress of Europe.
Last June two qualified juries, one made up of experts, the other composed of wine lovers, selected the 30 winner labels of the last Radici Edition among the following categories: Negroamaro, Nero di Troia, Primitivo, Aglianico del Vulture, rosè and sweet wines from autochthon wines. 90 cellars participated in the contest exhibiting 150 wines.
During the tasting of the 30 wines, Chef Domenico Cilenti from Porta di Basso Restaurant in Peschici, successful succeeded in representing every territory where the vines originate, preparing simple dishes.
Identità Golose fully reflected Radici contest’s guidelines that are native wines, varieties and veracity. Once again Propapilla Association warmly supported a well balanced mix between tradition and new trends, celebrating the features belonging to Apulia and Basilicata’s tradition as well as all those stimulating but concrete changes. Everyday life uncertainty is reflected on cooking, food and wine, making tradition and the pursuit of change the only way out. The winner wines and their exhibition in an international contest not only show this shift, but testify the first little steps in this direction, too.
See you in June in Apulia for the fourth edition of the festival!
