“WAITING FOR RADICI” and a native grape-oriented season
Already scheduled the meetings preceding next Exhibition of wines from native grapes “RADICI DEL SUD 2014”
There will be scheduled themed events while waiting for next Radici del Sud Edition. Starting from March, the first meeting will be “Il Negroamaro che non t’aspetti” -The Negroamaro you don’t expect-, an interesting discussion about the production of this renowned local grape.
In March, we’ll focus on the most remarkable red wines, stressing how versatile they are if combined with meat-based meals – “Carni rosse per grandi Rossi del Sud” - Red meats for great red wines- at Masseria Barbera. April event “Il Sud è Primitivo! -South is Primitivo- will be held in Naples with the aim to give the opportunity to know and appreciate the typical grape grown in Apulia. In April at Enoteca Regionale in Cosenza there will also be “I Rossi di Calabria” .The red wines from Calabria- focusing on the wines from native grapes produced in Calabria. The meeting scheduled for May the 10th is “I Rosati del Sud” - South Italian rosé wines- in Monreale - Sicily, followed by “Bollicine del Sud” – South Italian sparkling wines - about the astonishing production of sparkling wines produced in South Italy- which will take place on 21st in Naples. And then Radici del Sud 2014 which will be held from 4th to 9th June at Masseria Caselli in Carovigno (BR) - Puglia. Next edition will include some innovations suggested by the market trend, the present economic conjuncture and, above all, by the needs of the many good producers who will animate next Exhibition of wines from native grapes.
Thus, btob meetings will be given greater importance, one more day if compared to the previous editions. We’re recording an increasing number of both wineries and those working in wine field who will join us from Great Britain, Germany, Switzerland, Russia, Latvia, Columbia, USA, China, Hungary and Romany. These will be addressed special themed workshops arranged during their stay and held by prestigious scholars and wine experts.
Registration will be opened on 15th February . The producers will be given the opportunity to include up to three labels, yet competing in different categories. This year the rosé category can be entered not just by Apulian producers, but by all the regions joining Radici del Sud as well.All news
